HELLO, CAROL! A Celebration of Carol Channing

This fall, the San Francisco Museum of Performance & Design presents the first major retrospective exhibition ever mounted on the life and work of Broadway and Hollywood legend Carol Channing entitled HELLO, CAROL! A Celebration of Carol Channing from September 26, 2008 through March 14, 2009.

CONCERT! ONE NIGHT ONLY!

A special kick-off concert will be held on Thursday, September 25 at 7:30 p.m. at the Herbst Theatre in San Francisco featuring Carol Channing and special guest Carole Cook in an evening of song accompanied by the California Pops Orchestra (Kim Venaas, Musical Director).

Proceeds from the concert benefit the Dr. Carol Channing & Harry Kullijian Foundation for the Arts, a non-profit organization dedicated to preserving arts education in California schools. Tickets are available exclusively through City Box Office or by calling 415-392-4400.

This concert also kicks off a statewide campaign by the Channing-Kullijian Foundation to establish a network of alliances and local partnerships to inform and inspire the people of California to support arts in education and education of the arts in our public schools.
